Priority Projects

Priority and Partner Projects are a way that we amplify our impact across our state, country, and world. Not only do our Priority and Partner Projects present us the opportunity to have a greater impact on our larger community – they also often serve as easy to run projects-in-box. Since chapters all across the state and country get involved in supporting these Priority Projects – there are many opportunities to learn and get new ideas for projects from other chapters.

As a Priority or Partner Project for the Minnesota Jaycees, we promote and encourage ways that chapters and chapter members can work to raise money, volunteers, or fulfill other needs these organizations have.

Confidence Learning Center

Confidence Learning Center is a year-round outdoor education and recreation center for persons of all ages with developmental disabilities.

The Jaycees have been a very valued supporter of Confidence Learning Center over the many years you have recognized them as a Minnesota Jaycees Partnership Project.  We hope you know how dearly Confidence Learning Center holds this relationship.  Every dollar and volunteer hour makes a very positive impact on Confidence Learning Center in continuing their mission and achieving their goals while providing great learning and growing opportunities for all Campers!

We encourage all chapters to give any support to Confidence Learning Center that they are able to, each year.  Whether you run one project, make one monetary donation, give wish list items, or volunteer your time at a Confidence Learning Center event.  We highly encourage you to visit Confidence Learning Center and see for yourself the great things they do and how your support can make a difference.

A chapter can:

  • Coordinate a town hall camp recruitment meeting
  • Raise money for a Camper Subsidy– $44.00 per person
  • Hold a drive for the supplies on the wish list
  • Attend Camp Clean Up Volunteer Weekend

Aliveness Project

The Aliveness Project is a community center located in South Minneapolis that provides services and programs to the HIV/AIDS community.  Since 1985, The Aliveness Project has been a community resource and active leader in the HIV community in Minnesota. What started out as a small group of people gathering to share potluck meals has grown into a membership organization that now serves one out of four Minnesotans living with HIV/AIDS.

Nothing But Nets

JCI and JCI USA  sponsor a large international effort to support Nothing But Nets. Nothing But Nets is a global, grassroots campaign to raise awareness and funding to combat malaria, one of the largest killers of children in Africa.

JCI Members can expand their impact by designing a project to raise awareness and raise funds to donate directly to the JCI Nothing But Nets campaign. Projects are designed to engage the community and fellow JCI Members and provide an excellent opportunity to create a fun activity for a good cause.

The JCI Nothing But Nets website has information on the types of projects that local chapters can run.
