The Jaycees is an international organization. Junior Chamber International (JCI) is our international arm, with nearly 200,000 young active citizens and over five million alumni – including several world leaders. JCI chapters are spread over more than 5,000 local communities and over 100 countries around the world.
Every November, members from across the globe come together for the peak of the JCI year at JCI World Congress. At this global forum, delegates elect the next year’s officers, meet JCI members from more than 100 countries, find new ways to create positive change and magnify the positive impact of the JCI movement.
2017 JCI World Congress
Nov 6-10, 2017
At the JCI Global Partnership Summit, the young active citizens of JCI unite with leaders of business, government and civil society to address the critical challenges of our times and how the coordinated efforts of these three sectors can lead the way to global change through the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
JCI will lead the initiative by bringing together its key partners – the United Nations, UN Global Compact, UN Foundation and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – to drive the conversation and redefine, enhance and promote collaboration among these important global players. The hands of government are often tied when faced with global challenges. Corporations, likewise, cannot take the lead to find solutions for fear of appearing self-serving in pursuit of profit.

Every year, JCI members unite in their regions for JCI Area Conferences to exchange ideas, learn how to maximize their local impact and collaborate with other National Organizations in their Area. The four Area Conferences – Africa and the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, the Americas, and Europe – give members a chance to take advantage of JCI’s international network while enhancing their National Organizations.
