David Waldorf – Individual Development Vice President Candidate
I’m David Waldorf, and I am running for the position of Individual Development Vice President. I’ve been a Jaycee since 2009, and in 2013, as IDVP for JCI Shakopee, I discovered my passion within this org. When we improve ourselves, we improve our community, which improves our state, which improves our country, which improves the world. JCI is an organization that is built on the concept of creating young leaders who can change the world.
In 2017, I would like to step outside the walls of our organization and begin inviting the community to take part in trainings that we provide. In this particular case, I would like to work with businesses and trainers to create free job skills trainings throughout the state. I would also like to offer more JCI training opportunities to our membership, these trainings provide excellent ways to improve your involvement in this organization, and the world. Lastly, I intend to offer more competitions trainings and competition opportunities, so that we can prove to the nation, and the world, that Minnesota has the best competitors around!
Amie Klouse – Presidential Candidate
Amie Klouse joined JCI Austin in 2008. She has served on the local level as Secretary, Membership VP and as Chapter President. She has also served on the state level as the Region 9 Regional Director, Management Vice President and is currently serving as the Admin Vice President. Amie has received numerous awards on all levels including 3 presidential medallions, 2 silver and 1 bronze key awards, gold regional director, gold chapter president and gold vice president. While serving as Chapter President in 2013, she received a state and national Charles Kulp Jr Memorial Award, the Les Farrington Memorial Award for outstanding chapter president, led her chapter to a #1 finish in the state parade of chapters, and received the Henry Giessenbier Jr Memorial Award for outstanding chapter programming. Amie is also a 10th degree Jaycee and Minnesota Jaycees Lifetime Statesman #1589.
Amie resides in Austin, MN with her husband, Brian, and their two children, Maddison and Katelynn. They live on a farm where they are raising show goats and proudly declare that “orange tractors rule”. Their children are future Jaycees who are being raised to be active citizens within their community so that they can create their own global impact one day and to be able to empower those who empower others.
