President Josh & IPP Juanita leading the membership with the Jaycee Creed at Annual Convention
A Message from President Josh Hello JCI Minnesota,
I can’t believe one month has come and gone already. We had a great Annual convention. Congratulations to all the award winners and our new Statesmen, Ambassadors, and Senators. I’m excited to get the travel part of being President underway. There are so many great events run that I can’t wait to be apart of them. The VP’s and myself are excited to get out and help this organization grow. Make sure to be contacting them with whatever you needs you guys and gals have. I look forward to seeing you all.
In an effort to better meet the needs of our members in relation to personal, professional, and leadership development, the JCI Minnesota Individual Development team has developed a survey to assess the interests of our members. The results of the survey will assist us in developing and organizing training opportunities at all levels of the JCI Minnesota organization–local, regional, and state. Trainings may be provided at state conventions, regional events, or local events, depending on the needs of our members. Please complete the survey by 2/20/2016 to assist us in this process. http://goo.gl/forms/QtLVU3Sd5m
Save the dates for Spring Convention! May 13-15 at Sugar Lake Lodge in Grand Rapids. Registration, schedule of events, and training information will be out soon. Stay tuned!
The Mission of the Minnesota Jaycees is to provide the opportunity for young individuals to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.

The Minnesota Jaycees envisions a pathway of personal development for young people who emerge as leaders while improving their communities.
Get out the Vote Did you know that in 1923 the Junior Chamber of Commerce founded the national Get Out the Vote campaign, modeled after a program started by the Milwaukee Junior Chamber?
Get Out the Vote was a huge stepping stone for the Junior Chamber as it educated young men and women in the importance of voting and the election process. The campaign continued growing and was eventually given to the government to run so that the Junior Chamber could move on to finding other issues that needed to be solved in their communities and they could put their focus on finding solutions.
Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans Submissions The Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans program is Minnesota’s only statewide recognition program for outstanding young leaders. The program acknowledges the efforts of young leaders that have contributed to our state through their service, thought and influence, community involvement, or entrepreneurship.Winter is the time to start looking for high quality nominees for the Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans program before the heart of fundraising season for your chapter begins. Nominations will be due by July 1, 2016 and will be done via a Google Form distributed to membership early next month. Read More

MN JCI Senate President Ketti Green JCI Minnesota,
Do you know an individual that has been a Jaycee for more than 5 years? Has that person been involved with your chapter? Always there helping at projects, has held different board positions, and or stepped up to a State Staff position? Do you have an individual that maybe has aged out but is still there supporting your chapter in whatever capacity that you need them to be at to get a project or training done?If so then maybe it is time to reward that individual with a Senatorship. Filling out the application is easy but if you need some assistance check with other Senators in your chapter or contact me and I will get you started.Senate Applications need to be me by March 15, 2016.
